(8 Hours) This course provides a comprehensive, evidence-informed overview of concussion and traumatic brain injury. Topics span the epidemiology and societal impact of brain injury, the neurometabolic cascade of concussion, acute triage and management, clinical phenotypes of persistent post-concussion symptoms, sensorimotor integration (cervical, vestibular, and oculomotor systems), and strategies for countering harmful narratives in patient education.
Course Goal
To equip family wellness chiropractors with the clinical knowledge and practical frameworks needed to accurately assess, manage, and co-manage concussion patients across all phases of recovery — from acute triage through persistent symptom care — while applying a salutogenic, chiropractic-centered approach to patient education.
