Pediatric Certification

Training

Program Details

The Pediatric Certification Program consists of 200 hours of coursework (60 hours in-person for US DCs), a multiple-choice exam for each course, and a final Capstone Exam.

The program is open to chiropractors and chiropractic students within 2 years of graduation.  We recommend completing all requirements within 3 years of your first seminar.  Completion of the coursework generally takes 12-18 months, while the exam process takes 3-6 months.

Earn your Pediatric Certification in 3 steps:

  1. Complete 200 hours of coursework (60 hours of in-person training required for US DCs).  View your progress in your ICPA account - see which courses you have attended, which courses you have registered for, and which courses you still need to complete.
  2. Pass a multiple choice exam for each course*.  Multiple choice exams are 15-25 questions each.  You must score 100% on each exam and can try as many times as needed to earn 100%.
  3. Pass the Capstone Exam*.  The Capstone Exam consists of 7 essay questions, designed to be answered using information learned from all Pediatric courses.  You are able to register for the Capstone Exam once you have attended 200 hours of coursework and have passed the multiple choice exam for each course.  You must achieve 80% on each Capstone Essay in order to pass.

* You must be a DC member to register for the Multiple Choice and Capstone Exams.  Student members will need to upgrade their membership to DC status to register for the exams.
