ICPA will issue a CE certificate of completion for approved seminars upon request and attendance verification. ICPA Seminars are 4-12 hours each and are eligible for up to 12 hours of continuing education credits based on recorded attendance.
State CE is available for online seminars. Classes may be approved for up to 12 hours of CE in some states. Please check with your State Board to determine how many hours of online CE they accept. For more details about each class's approval, please visit the individual course pages.
CE Credits Request Fee: $45 per class. This fee is additional to seminar costs and is non-refundable.
Requesting CE for a Past Seminar: CE credits can be requested in the attendee’s ICPA account.
As an attendee, it is your responsibility to be aware of the continuing education rules and regulations of the state(s)/provinces in which you are licensed, including what topics are acceptable for continuing education/license renewal credit.
ICPA submits applications to the chiropractic state board where the seminar is held, as well as the immediate surrounding states. Approved states for the selected class and location will be listed on the seminar location page, as well as listed on the seminar registration form.
Important Note: Some state boards do not require ICPA to submit seminar details for approval because of our co-sponsorship by an accredited school. Therefore, ICPA cannot guarantee that seminars will meet the content required by a state board for continuing education purposes. We strongly recommend you become informed of your state rules and regulations regarding your specific continuing education requirements. Specific questions regarding your state’s requirements should always be directed to your state board.
The ICPA does not apply for CE credits outside of North America.
If you attend a location outside of the United States but are requesting CE credits for a US state license, the CE policy stated above applies. Please contact the ICPA if the state you are seeking is not on the list of auto-approved states. An additional application process and fee may apply.
With the exception of Alberta, Canadian provinces do not require an application or fee from the seminar host for CE. Therefore it is your responsibility as the attending doctor to request approval and report your attendance to your province licensing bodies. It is also your responsibility to maintain your own attendance records.
Alberta: ICPA must apply to Alberta for CE approval in order to offer CE to attendees. Therefore, attendees seeking CE credits will be charged $45 per class for this service, as stated in our policy above.
Individual Seminar Registration: CE credits can be requested at the time of seminar registration directly on the registration form for an individual module.
Series Registration: Attendees registering for the entire ICPA Certification series can request CE credits in their ICPA account for individual modules after they have completed the series registration form.
US states and Canadian provinces that have been approved for the selected location and class will be listed on the registration form. If applied states/provinces are not yet listed for a particular location, please contact ICPA for updates.
Post-seminar, once attendance is verified, ICPA will email the CE certificate to the attendee. ICPA does not send certificates to state boards, with the exception of Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
In some circumstances, an attendee may request CE for a state to which ICPA has not applied. These requests must be made at least 90 days in advance of the seminar and the excess cost of the approval application may be passed on to the attendee. This service is reserved for ICPA members only.
