Continuing Education Information:

All ICPA classroom modules are co-sponsored by Cleveland University-Kansas City, therefore the following states are approved: CO, CT, DC, DE, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MI, MS, MT, ND, NE, NY, (OH-only approved for 12 hours for a course taken outside of the state of Ohio), OR, RI, SC, UT, VA, VT, WA, WY
Note for States that do not require an application: Because of ICPA's co-sponsorship by an accredited school, some state boards do not require ICPA to submit their CE programs for pre-approval. Therefore, ICPA cannot guarantee that the classes we offer will automatically be approved by your board. We strongly recommend doctors from these states be aware of your state rules and regulations regarding continuing education requirements. Specific questions should always be directed to your state board.

Province of Ontario: CCO Council has chosen not to accredit programs/courses at this time. Members should select courses based on their self assessments, peer and practice assessments, and professional interests. The CE program is largely self directed and members are free to take courses relevant to their practice, consistent with CCO CE guidelines.

Although as previously stated CCO is not formally recognizing or approving courses, so there is no formal approval process; however, CCO has informed members that have inquired that they may count the hours attended at this program towards their structured continuing education hours.

License Renewal Notes:
ICPA will issue a certificate of completion for state approved seminars upon request and attendance verification for continuing education and license renewal purposes. There is a $45 administrative fee per license for this additional service. Continuing education request forms are available at the seminar and must be completed in full and submitted to the proctor for processing. The ICPA office will process payments and email the certificate to the attendee post-seminar. ICPA does not send certificates to the state board. There will be an additional $25 fee for requests received post-seminar, or for issuing a duplicate of the certificate.

ICPA submits applications to the state/province board for continuing education approval in the state/province the seminar is held and also the immediate surrounding states. All other applications are submitted by attendee request only. Requests must be made 90 days in advance of the seminar and the excess cost of the application may be passed on to the attendee.
