ICPA 180 Hour Certification Program

Attendance to all 13 classroom modules and participation in two in-office Research projects will fulfill your requirements for the ICPA 180 hour certification program and Part One of the ICPA 360 Hour Diplomate Program.

Approved States:
AZ, CO, CT, DC, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, RI, SC, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WY.

Other Approved States: KS, KY, LA-Approval # , MO ** please see below for MO approval numbers and the requirements for MO doctors and WI.

TX: Approved for Perinatal Care: Webster Certification course only scheduled on 3/24-25/2012-Approval #07-4417.

AR is approved for these seminars only:

Chiropractic Family Wellness Care: Approval number AR4253

There are no MO Approval Numbers:

All ICPA seminars are approved for general hours only for the state of Missouri. There is no approval number for each course but you can take a 12 hour ICPA module and use towards general continuing education hours.

These category hours are consider formal hours according to the Missouri Board. MO chiropractors are required to complete 24 formal hours to renew their license:

MO board allows 6 of the required 24 hours to be from the below category:
1. Meetings up to 6 hours
2. Publications (books or articles)
3. Presentations
4. Home Study or Individual Study (individual-reading, internet articles, preparations for lectures)

Iowa: The Chiropractic Board of IA says that chiropractors must review the Boards Administrative Rules on Continuing Education, Chapter 44 which is the whole Chapter 44 on Continuing Education in state of IA. The course must be applicable and fall under the guidelines of Chapter 44.

In the state of Indiana, the Chiropractic Board of IN states to refer to their web site Indiana Chiropractic Board web site for the list of rules for approved CE seminars. Chiropractic approved seminars in Indiana are based on IC 25-1-4-0.3: ICPA is a national organization and therefore it is an automatically approved sponsor. ICPA is also co-sponsored with CCC-KS and CCC-LA and these chiropractic colleges are also approved under IC 25-1-4-0.2.

In the state of Nebraska, the Chiropractic Board of NE does not pre-approve courses. The Chiropractic Board of Nebraska suggests that doctors call them ahead of time and ask if a specific course is appropriate to take to receive CE credits.

In the state of Ohio, the Chiropractic Board of OH says that any chiropractors looking for continuing education credits for a seminar outside the state of Ohio can receive up to 12 hours of CE credits from Category 3, must be health care related and enhance professional competency.

License Renewal Notes:
License Renewal Voucher Fees are an additional $35 per state or province.
If approvals are not yet posted for a particular location, please call your state board for updates.
It is the responsibility of the attending doctor to be aware of the continuing education rules and regulations of the state(s) in which he/she is licensed, including what topics are acceptable for continuing education/license renewal credit.
"Approved states" may, in some cases, refer to state boards of chiropractic education that do not require an application from ICPA because of our co-sponsorship with various colleges. Please check with your board for the latest continuing education information.
