ICPA Diplomate Clinical Rounds Requirements

Clinical Rounds Description:

The Diplomate Requirement for completing Clinical Rounds gives our candidates the opportunity to take both their academic and clinical knowledge, and share this with other ICPA chiropractors.

It is of the utmost importance to clearly communicate clinical knowledge with peers; while, also be understandable to patients is vital to achieve Diplomate status. As a Diplomate, you are a step above-the-rest with your skills and knowledge. You will become a doctor who is viewed as competent and knowledgeable in the field.

By participating in Clinical Rounds, you are sharpening your own skills while also advancing the clinical skills of your peers. The main goal of is to empower chiropractors, with valid clinical information and resources, to deal with all aspects of patient care and treatment.

Clinical Rounds Requirements:

  1. Answer eight questions from peers.
  2. Create eight current clinical questions of your own to be answered by other Diplomate Candidates.
  3. Cut and paste the questions from your peers and the answers into a word document for submission and final credit. Please e-mail clinicalrounds@icpa4kids.com

We are asking you to consider 20-points for the peer-questions.

  1. Define the condition and appropriate treatment
  2. Define medical treatment of condition
  3. Describe potential side effects of medical treatment
  4. Chiropractic perspective of condition
  5. Review of patient treatment so far
    1. Describe exam and adjustment
    2. Suggest an alternate chiropractic approach
    3. Outline of how to present treatment plan with parent
    4. Contraindications to chiropractic care - both known and anticipated
    5. Lifestyle suggestions
  1. Nutrition
    considerations
  2. Movement
    and or exercise considerations
  3. Other holistic options
    and possible collaborative partners
  4. Potential emotional considerations for the patient affecting healing outcome
