News to Use:
Avoid the Stress

Patient-Choice
Vaginal Delivery?
From the article:
"Before we enthusiastically adopt the universal
right of women to choose elective primary cesarean delivery,
we must ask ourselves whether this issue is really about
patient choice. If we agree that it is, then we ought also
to support patient choice in situations that allow them
to choose vaginal birth." http://www.annfammed.org/cgi/content/full/4/3/265
AAP Guidelines for SIDS
Two points of contention with these guidelines:
1- No-co-sleeping: see Pathways Issue 9 for the facts: http://www.icpa4kids.org/research/references10.htm
2- Pacifier Use:
questionable how this recommendation was formed: Check out this link
for more on pacifiers: http://www.mothering.com/sections/experts/palmer-archive.html#pacifiers
