ICPA Diplomate Agreement
360 Hour Diplomate Rules for Participation and Continued Recognition of Diplomate Certification Status:
Entry into Diplomate Program: All Applicants completing the I.C.P.A. Diplomate Part Two:
You are required be a practicing chiropractor, currently enrolled in or having completed the ICPA 180 Hour Certification Program (Part One).
You must have current membership in the I.C.P.A.
You have to make application to the ICPA to participate in the Diplomate program.
Diplomate Exam Eligibility:
In order to continue with final Diplomate status and sit for the Diplomate examination in June: I am agreeing to complete all Diplomate requirements and have these requirements complete by June 1st 2009.
I will take two PBRN’s to complete the Diplomate PBRN requirement with a 48 minimum patient quota.
I will take 48 hours of Diplomate elective classes and provide the ICPA with the transcript of attended classes.
I will read and study the Physical Diagnosis material provided to all Diplomates on the Diplomate Clinical Forum.
I will register for the Diplomate Clinical Forum in order to submit stages of my Research Case Study Paper and read and learn the required Physical Diagnosis material.
I will certify in CPR/ First Aid for infant and children through my local Red Cross and provide a faxed copy of proof to the ICPA main office.
I will complete a minimum 2400 word, well referenced Pathways article on a family wellness topic.
I will complete an abstract on the Research Case Study and display a poster presentation of the Research Case Studyat the ICPA's annual Extravaganza.
I agree these requirements will be complete before I take my Diplomate examination.
Final Diplomate Examination: Those who are eligible for the Final Diplomate Examination will pay an examination fee, payable to the Academy. Please note that the Final Diplomate Exam is offered the first week in June. Attendance in this location will include those candidates from several sites.
Diplomate Requirements prior to Diplomate Graduation:
I am going to become an Academy member prior to my Graduation.
I agree to maintain my Academy membership and I agree that once I have passed my final Diplomate examination, I need to go to the Extravaganza and present my case paper on a poster presentation.
Graduation: There is an annual graduation ceremony for all Diplomates. The next graduation ceremony is scheduled for May 2010 in conjunction with the I.C.P.A. Extravaganza in Philadelphia. Diplomas will be issued at that time, although graduates can begin to call themselves Diplomates as soon as they are notified of their successful completion of the final Diplomate exam.
Diplomate Status: The candidate, upon successful completion of all requirements and examinations will receive the title of Diplomate with the initials: DACCP. I understand that the usage of letters after my name and the recognition of diplomate status is a state by state regulation and I will stay in accordance with my practicing state's regulation in my declaration and advertising of Diplomate status.
The Academy's Board of Directors oversees the testing and grading of the certification and Diplomate program with consult from the Advisory Board. Diplomate status: DACCP.
Maintenance of Achieved Diplomate Status:
I agree to maintain my recognition of certification status from the Academy by maintaining my Academy membership.
I agree to fulfill 12 hours of on-going education annually.
Maintenance of Diplomate status comes with continued licensure to practice, malpractice insurance, membership to the Academy and fulfilling annual hours of continuing education credits with designated classes and/ or research projects.
I understand that failure to maintain my Academy membership after graduation will result in an additional reinstatement fee.
Advertising Diplomate without active, current Academy membership will result in Academy Board review and penalty.
Co-sponsoring Colleges: Our co-sponsoring colleges are Cleveland Chiropractic Colleges (CCC), Parker College of Chiropractic, North Western Health Sciences University (NWHSU), and Life University.
