180 Hour Certification Rules for Participation and Agreement for Certificate Status:

Certification Terms: All certification candidates must attend all 180 hours to be awarded certification status. In order to receive eligibility to take the Final Exam, it may be the candidate's obligation to provide proof of attendance to the ICPA and sponsoring college for any make up modules. A candidate may register for the Final Home Exam once all certification modules are completed, Doctor degree is verified and ICPA membership is confirmed. Certification/ Diplomate status will be issued by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice upon successful completion of all exams and requirements. Candidates must maintain active ICPA membership for continued recognition of Certification status with the ICPA.

ICPA Attendance Policy: By signing the ICPA six sign in sheets (Sat am in, Sat am out, Sat pm in, Sat pm out, Sun am in and Sun am out) you are agreeing to abide by all ICPA Seminar Terms, including the requirement to fully attend the ICPA registered seminar. If you are unable to attend the seminar or miss seminar hours; you will required to re-take any missed seminar time at another time. All registrants are required to attend the full 12 hour seminar in order to receive credit for attendance.

Certification Status: Upon completion of the ICPA 180 Hour Certification and 360 Hour Diplomate program, all graduates are awarded certification status from the Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics of the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. The Academy's Board of Directors oversees the testing and grading of both programs with consult from the Advisory Board. The initials issued for Certification status are: CACCP and for Diplomate status: DACCP.

Co-sponsoring Colleges: Our co-sponsoring colleges are Cleveland Chiropractic Colleges (CCC), Parker College of Chiropractic, North Western Health Sciences University (NWHSU), and Life University.

180 Hour Certification Terms:

Pay in Full for Entire Series and Auto-Payment Discount Plan- Make-up Modules for this two payment options: For those candidates who choose to pay the entire 180 Hour Certification in advance and receive the tuition discount, it is important for them to realize that this pre-pay discount is honored at only ICPA CCC sponsored programs. Registrants are therefore encouraged to do any make-up classes at other ICPA CCC sponsored locations. If and when the registrant needs to attend a make-up module in a location other than an ICPA/ CCC sponsored location, there will be additional fees paid directly to that college for attendance. Both Dallas (Parker) and Minnesota (NWHSU) locations are not ICPA CCC locations and classes taken in these locations are NOT transferable towards ICPA pay in full and auto pay.

Also-it is important to note that the pre-pay policy will be remain valid for a period of two years from the date of the last scheduled class of the contracted series. Failure to complete all modules within that two year period will void the pre-pay agreement.

Make-up hours: In the event that an attendee misses classroom hours due to unforeseen, emergency situations, a formal request to the ICPA must be submitted. Once reviewed by the Academic Committee, the candidate may be requested to complete a specific clinical/ academic project in substitution for the missed hours. If the candidate is given this privilege, there will be a fee charged for the additional make-up hours.

Attendance Verification: Each attendee must sign-in and out each day to receive credit for each individual module. This sign-in sheet will be distributed during class for your signature. Due to the stringent standard of our program, you will only be given credit for those hours you are actually in the room. The ICPA strongly urges you to plan to attend all modules in your particular location. The possible inability to make-up modules elsewhere may jeopardize your eligibility to sit for the Final Certification and Diplomate Exams.

Student Attendance: Students may participate in the 180 hour Certification program according to the allowance of the co-sponsoring colleges. Their entry semester/ quarter of eligibility is determined by the sponsoring college. Board Certification will be issued when the student has fulfilled all requirements for Certification, has upgraded their membership with the ICPA to DC status and then verifies their Chiropractic degree to the ICPA.

Records: The ICPA will be keeping a central database of all attendees' records for all locations. It is the responsibility of the attendee to keep records of individual modules attended for future application as well. Although the program does not have to be completed within a current offering, please be aware that there is no guarantee that the program will be offered in the same location again. Any lapse of two years from the date of last attendance may require attendance of make-up modules for those seeking certification status.

Program Cancellation Policy: The ICPA and the sponsoring organization/ college reserve the right to cancel a module or program due to low registration, unforeseen travel difficulties, emergency speaker unavailability and to reschedule speakers according to circumstances. Instructors are subject to change depending on extenuating circumstances.

License Renewal Hours: The ICPA is not responsible to provide license renewal hours although many locations are applied for. There is a minimum additional $35 fee for license renewal application per state or province, per module payable to the license renewal sponsoring college or organization.

All Exams: You must currently be a licensed chiropractor, have graduated from an accredited chiropractic college, have malpractice insurance and have current membership in the ICPA to be eligible to take any of the ICPA Certification/ Diplomate Exams.

180 Hour Certification: Currently, the test for the 180 hour certification is a take home, comprehensive exam. Candidates that take the examination and do not pass will be able to re-test if the candidate chooses to. The candidate will have six months from the time of receiving his/her non-passing grade to re-take the 180 hour examination without having to repeat any modules. Membership in the ICPA is required to take the final certification exam.

Students: The Certification Exam may be taken once ta student has completed all 180 hours of the certification modules, the student has graduated from an accredited chiropractic college, have malpractice insurance, have current membership in the ICPA and have registered for ICPA PBRN Research module.

DC: The Certification Exam will not be issued until all 15 modules including completion of PBRN module and hours for that year have been completed, and this agreement form has been received by the ICPA.

Certification: A Certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics will be awarded through the ICPA and the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice after successful completion of all classroom and exam requirements. A certificate of completion of the 180-Hour Chiropractic Pediatric Certification program may be issued by the co-sponsoring college if applicable.

Maintenance of Achieved Certification Status: Membership with the ICPA is required to maintain certification status.

I understand that failure to renew my ICPA membership with the ICPA while after receiving the CACCP will result in an additional reinstatement fee. Advertising certification without active, current ICPA membership will result in board review and penalty.
