Terms of Agreement for Seminar Registration:
- I agree to arrive at the seminar on time in the morning and after each break.
I agree to attend all 12 hours of the seminar.
I agree that if I do not comply with these terms that the ICPA will require me to make up missed hours. - No video or audio recording equipment is permitted at any of the modules. Unauthorized recording and distribution of materials may lead to dismissal from the program. Any persons found to be distributing, selling or profiting in any way with ICPA seminar notes, audio or video recordings of ICPA lectures, without written permission from ICPA will be dismissed from the program and and face additional, legal retribution.
- Physical and mental presence is required to receive credit for class hour attendance. Sleeping, reading newspapers, listening to music, surfing the web or attending to a child during class hours will cause these missed hours to be deducted from your attendance hours.
- Please read our policy on children in class.
- Certification/ Diplomate status and continuing education credit require attendance to all classroom hours. Any hours missed will be recorded and deducted from the weekend's 12 hours. Only in the case of personal emergencies, leading to missed hours, the attendee may request an appeal for academic make up. If considered, there is a fee for the assigned project.
- Every attempt is made to offer this program as announced. The ICPA reserves the right, however, to adjust program faculty, location, dates, times and tuition to accommodate unanticipated occurrences.
- The ICPA may request attendees to supply proof of educational and/or professional credentials such as license and malpractice.
- The ICPA is not responsible for any expenses incurred by registrants due to program adjustments or cancellations including hotel and airline reservations.
- There will be an additional fee of $25 for checks submitted with insufficient funds.
- Partial refunds will not be granted for partial attendance. No exceptions. If you are unable to attend a pre-paid module or series, you will be able to transfer your tuition to a future module free of charge by contacting the ICPA registrar.
- A service fee of 10% will be applied to all participant cancellations. An attendee can choose to transfer the individual seminar fee to another seminar without a service fee The seminar fee will be valid for one year.
- Registrants who cancel the seminar after receipt of seminar module notes have the option to have a credit for a future seminar or receive a half credit seminar refund. Full refunds are not applicable.
180 Hour Certification Rules for Participation and Agreement for Certificate Status:
Certification Terms: All certification candidates must attend all 180 hours to be awarded certification status. In order to receive eligibility to take the final take home essay exam, it is the candidate's obligation to provide proof of attendance to the ICPA and sponsoring college for any make up modules. A candidate may register for the final take home exam once all certification modules are completed and doctor degree is verified. Doctor is required to be in practice for at least six months before eligible to take final take home exam. Certification status will be issued by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice upon successful completion of all exams and requirements.
ICPA Attendance Verification: By signing the six ICPA sign-in sheets at each module, you are agreeing to abide by all ICPA Seminar Terms, including the requirement to attend. If you are unable to attend a seminar or miss seminar hours; you will be required to re-take any missed seminar hours. All registrants are required to attend the full 12 hour seminar in order to receive credit for attendance.
Certification Status: Upon completion of the ICPA 180 Hour Certification and 360 Hour Diplomate program, all graduates are awarded Certification status from the Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics of the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. The Academy's Board of Directors oversees the testing and grading of both programs with consult from the Advisory Board. The initials issued for Certification status are: CACCP and for Diplomate status: DACCP.
Co-sponsoring Colleges: Our co-sponsoring colleges are Cleveland Chiropractic Colleges (CCC), Parker University, North Western Health Sciences University (NWHSU), and Life University.
Continuing Education Hours: The ICPA is not responsible for providing continuing educational hours, however at many of the locations the majority of states/provinces are approved for continuing education (ce) hours. There is a minimum $35 ce fee for a 12 hour course per state or province, per module payable to the ICPA. If an attendee request ce hours retro actively; an additional $25 admin fee (plus the $35 ce fee) is due.
180 Hour Certification Program Payment Programs
Pay in Full (PIF) for Entire Series and Auto-Payment Discount Plan Payment:
180 Hour Certification Program Tuition Discounts:
There are three tuition discounts available for the ICPA Certification program. All tuition discount plans require ICPA automatic membership renewal for participation. They are as follows:
1- Pay-as-you-go. This plan offers a $50 discount off each class. Payment is due before 12 noon ET on Thursday prior to the scheduled weekend. DC Fee: $4,825 for the entire program. *
2-Auto-pay. This plan offers a $100 discount off each class. This plan offers a 27% discount off the regular DC cost of $5,625. Your current credit card remains on file, and the class fee is deducted on the Monday prior to the scheduled weekend.The candidate is expected to complete all modules within a two year period from the date of the last scheduled module DC Fee: $4,125 for the entire program.
3- Pay-in-full. This plan offers a 32% discount off the regular DC cost of $5,625. Payment is made at the onset of the series. The candidate is expected to complete all modules within a two year period from the date of the last scheduled module. DC Fee: $ $3,850 for the entire program. *
* Exam testing fee not included. Student prices adjusted accordingly. These discounts are applicable at ICPA sponsored locations only. They are NOT transferable to NWHSU or Parker University locations.
Attendance Policy
Make-up hours:
Technique Classes: Candidates enrolled in the certification program are required to attend the full 12 hours for each course. If a candidate misses hours for a technique seminar (which includes: 1. Short Lever Adjusting, 2. SOT: Spinal, 3. SOT Pediatric Cranial Adjusting, 4. Practical Neurology: Proposed Model for VSC and Its Clinical Application, 5. Challenged Child, 6. Perinatal Care, 7. Techniques: Thompson and Logan, 8. Neurosensory Integration and 9. Technical Integration, 10. Chiropractic Family Wellness Care 11. Research: Review of the Literature/ Case Study Writing) it is a requirement to make up the missed hours. Failure to make up the missed hours of the course will result in a complete make up of the 12 hour course.
Non-Technique Classes: If a candidate misses any hours at a non-technique seminar (which includes: 1. Neuro Immunology and 2. Transition To Wellness) they are required to make up the hours. In the event that an attendee misses classroom hours for a non-technique class due to unforeseen emergency situations; a formal request to the ICPA must be submitted. Once reviewed by the Academic Committee, the candidate may be requested to complete a specific clinical/ academic project in substitution for the missed hours. The Academic Committee will only consider a make-up project for candidates missing 3 hours or less. If the candidate is given this privilege, there will be a fee charged for the additional make-up hours.
Attendance Verification: Each attendee must sign-in and out each day to receive credit for each individual module. This sign-in sheet will be distributed during class for your signature. Due to the stringent standard of our program, you will only be given credit for those hours you are actually in the room. The ICPA strongly urges you to plan to attend all modules in your particular location.
Student Attendance: Students may participate in the 180 hour Certification program. They are allowed to take the program if they are 5th trimester/quarter. Certification will be issued when the student has fulfilled all requirements for Certification, has upgraded their membership with the ICPA to DC status and completed both Research PBRNS (Research PBRN I and Research PBRN II)
Time Frame of Completion of ICPA Certification/Diplomate Programs:
The ICPA keeps a central database of all attendees' records for all locations. It is the responsibility of the attendee to keep records of individual modules attended for future application as well. Although the program does not have to be completed within a current offering, please be aware that there is no guarantee that the program will be offered in the same location again.
Any lapse of two years from the date of last attendance may require attendance of make-up modules for those seeking certification status.
Program Cancellation Policy: The ICPA and the sponsoring organization/ college reserve the right to cancel a module or program due to low registration, unforeseen travel difficulties, emergency speaker unavailability and to reschedule speakers according to circumstances. Instructors are subject to change depending on extenuating circumstances.
Course Curriculum Change: The ICPA recommends that you complete the 15 module program within 2 years. If you do not attend the ICPA 15 seminar modules within 2 years of the last scheduled weekend of the program; you are responsible for attending any classes that are part of the current curriculum.
Exam Eligibility:
All Exams: You must currently be a licensed chiropractor, have graduated from an accredited chiropractic college, have malpractice insurance and have current membership in the ICPA to be eligible to take any of the ICPA Certification/ Diplomate Exams. All candidates must be in practice for at least 6 months.
180 Hour Certification Examination: Currently, the test for the 180 hour Certification is a take home, comprehensive exam. Candidates that take the examination and do not pass will be able to re-test if the candidate chooses to. The candidate will have six months from the time of receiving his/her non-passing grade to re-take the 180 hour examination without having to repeat any modules.
Achievement of Certification Status:
Certification: A Certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics will be awarded through the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and endorsed by the ICPA after successful completion of all classroom and exam requirements. A certificate of completion of the 180-Hour Chiropractic Pediatric Certification program may be issued by the co-sponsoring college if applicable.
Students: ICPA Member students are offered a significant discount in the ICPA program. Automatic membership renewal is required to obtain this discounted tuition. Upon graduation, the student is required to contact the ICPA with proof of DC status and request the materials for the PBRN. After 6 months in practice, the candidate is eligible to apply for the final exam. Should the student choose to NOT renew and update their ICPA auto-renewal membership agreement, they will be responsible to pay the difference between the ICPA discounted student fees and the DC fees for all previously attended classes.

- All candidates understand that they have received a discount for the program as an ICPA member.
- Graduates must maintain active ICPA membership for continued promotion and endorsement of certification status with the ICPA.
- Reinstatement of ICPA membership because of a lapse of membership may result in an additional reinstatement fee.
- Academy recognition remains regardless of ICPA membership
Maintenance of Achieved Diplomate Status:
- All candidates understand that they have received a discount for the Diplomate program as an ICPA member.
- Graduates must maintain active ICPA membership for continued ICPA endorsement and promotion of their diplomate status with the ICPA.
- Reinstatement of ICPA membership because of a lapse of membership may result in an additional reinstatement fee.
- For Academy recognition of Diplomate status, all diplomates must pay an annual Academy re-certification fee ($45) and fulfill continuing education requirements bi-annually.
ICPA Adjusting Technique Release Form
In consideration of my participation as an attendee at the seminar sponsored by ICPA, I hereby release and forever discharge ICPA, its officers, directors, employees, agents, speakers, successors, heirs and assigns of said ICPA, and all other persons, firms, and corporations of and from any and all claims, demands, indebtedness, rights and causes of action, costs, expense, compensation, consequential damage, or any kind whatsoever, or any other thing whatsoever, which I now have or may have against ICPA to include, but not limited to any and all claims and demands, right and causes of action of any kind that I now have or hereafter may have, on account of, or in any way growing out of, personal injuries, emotional stress, psychological or psychiatric injury, death and any damages, known or unknown, resulting or to result from any occurrence, omission that I have or hereafter may have, on account of, or in any way growing out of, personal injuries, death and property damages, known or unknown, resulting from my participation as an attendee at a seminar sponsored by ICPA including but not, limited to, my active participation in receiving instruction verbally or manually, from any speaker of the ICPA to instruct, guide and/or apply chiropractic adjustment or otherwise, to me at the seminar.
Furthermore, by execution of this Release, I acknowledge and confirm that any instruction that I receive, either in the form of verbal or physical instruction of a chiropractic technique, does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship in any manner whatsoever the same being expressively denied/rejected by me. Furthermore, by execution of this Release I acknowledge that any participation by me at a seminar sponsored by ICPA is voluntary participation in providing and/or receiving instruction from any of the speakers at the ICPA seminars. No promise or inducement which is not herein expressed has been made to me in executing this Release, I do not rely upon any statement or representation made by any person, firm, or corporation, hereby released, or any agent, physician, doctor or any other person representing them or any of them.
I further understand that this is an unconditional unqualified Release and includes all claims of every kind, character or nature which I could, may or might assert, in any and all capabilities, in connection with my attendance and participation at ICPA seminars and this Release expressly insures to the benefit of every person, firm, or corporation or legal entity that might have been legally liable by reason of any such incident.
I further state that I have read the Release, know the contents thereof, and sign the same as my own free act.
DC-Pay In Full (PIF) and Auto-Payment Discount Terms for Registration:
By selecting the Pay-In-Full or Auto-Payment Discount option, and securing this discounted, membership benefit registration price, I am contracting to participate in the entire ICPA Certification series (15 modules) and agreeing to be signed up for annual, automatic renewal membership.
Pay-In-Full and Auto-Pay Seminar Payment Requirements:
Pay-In-Full: I am agreeing to have the ICPA charge my credit card at the onset of the seminar series. This cost is: $3,850. Should I choose to discontinue the series; the seminars I attended will be prorated at the regular ICPA membership Pay-As-You-Go fee of $325 per seminar from the Pay-In-Full fee I paid. All credits accrued are eligible for future application with continued ICPA membership.
Auto-Pay: I am agreeing to have the ICPA charge my credit card monthly on the Monday prior to each scheduled module in my chosen location. The charge will occur even if I do not attend the upcoming module. It is my responsibility to make that class up elsewhere. To do so, I must notify the ICPA office. This includes the two PBRN Research modules billed at the end of the seminar series, regardless of when I choose to complete these modules. This cost is $275 per module totaling $4,125 for the entire series. Should I choose to discontinue the series, the seminars I attended will be prorated at the regular ICPA membership Pay-As -You-Go fee of $325 per seminar with the balance due to the ICPA office immediately. I will no longer be charged for upcoming seminars. All credits accrued are eligible for future application with continued ICPA membership.
Pay-in-Full or Auto-Pay Membership Payment Requirements
I am agreeing to participate in ICPA auto-renewal membership. ICPA will charge my credit card annually for these fees.

Practiced Based Research Network Module (PBRN): Research PBRN I Research Module II Information
PBRN Pay in Full Registrants: I understand I will be automatically put in the system for the date of the scheduled weekend in my seminar city for the Research PBRN Module I and II. I understand there will not be any additional costs because I am enrolled in the PIF and paid for the entire series in the beginning.
Auto Payment Registrants: Research PBRN I and Research PBRN II: I understand that for the Auto Payment Registrants; I will be automatically put in the system and charged for the date of the scheduled weekend in my seminar city for the Research PBRN Module I ad Research PBRN Module II. I will be charged for the Research PBRN Module I and Research PBRN Module II the Monday before the scheduled weekend of the seminar city location I am enrolled in.
Initiation of the PBRN: I understand I can begin the Research PBRN Module I and II at any time and my credit card will be charged according to the above criteria. I understand I still have to register for the NIH Human Research Tutorial: (http://icpa4kids.com/research/hipaa.htm) and demographic application for the Research PBRN Module I before I receive paperwork for the study. I understand there will not be any additional costs because I am enrolled in the PIF and paid for the entire series in the beginning.
Payment Make Up For Pay In Full/Auto Payment: Should I not be able to attend any seminar on a weekend scheduled in my primary location, my credit card will still be charged accordingly, and I will maintain a credit for that class in any ICPA sponsored location. (NOTE: Parker University(Dallas) and Northwestern (Minnesota) locations do not apply.
Course Curriculum Make Up For Pay In Full/Auto Payment: The ICPA recommends that you complete the 15 module program within 2 years. If I do not attend the ICPA 15 seminar modules within 2 years of the last scheduled weekend of the program; I am responsible for attending any classes that are part of the current curriculum.
Time Frame Of Pay In Full/Auto-Payment: The pay in full and auto-payment discount will remain valid for a period of two years from the date of the last scheduled class of the contracted series. Failure to complete all modules within that two year period will void the pay in full and auto-payment discount plan. Maintenance Of Auto Payment/PIF: In order to maintain your pay in full or auto privileges, membership must be kept consecutive.
Cancellation Policy Of Pay in Full And Auto Payment: If I choose not to continue with the entire ICPA Certification program, I am not eligible for the Auto-Payment Discount and am therefore authorizing the ICPA to charge me an additional $50 for each of my previously attended classes. This reflects the difference in cost from the Auto Registration Discount and the usual ICPA member individual seminar price.
If I have been charged for classes that I have not attended and choose not to continue with the entire series, the registration fees for those classes are non refundable and can be credited towards future classes.
I am agreeing to keep my membership current throughout this time period of scheduled classes. Membership renewal is my responsibility.
I have agreed to these conditions for Auto-Payment Discount prices.
1st Year DC to DC status: If you have enrolled in the Auto Payment Discount Plan as a 1st year DC and paid $225, you are responsible for the upgrade to DC status and pay the additional $50 to be enrolled in the DC Auto Payment Discount Plan ($275).

I am agreeing to contact the ICPA office when I graduate, upgrade to first year DC and register for the ICPA/PBRN projects to complete my requirements. Exam registration and completion is applicable when I graduate as well.
My discounted student costs for the PIF or AP program is contingent on continued ICPA auto-renewal membership. Should I choose not to remain on ICPA auto-renewal membership, I understand I am responsible to pay the difference between the student discounted seminar fees and the DC fee, as the student discounted fees were contingent on continued auto-membership.
Practiced Based Research Network Module (PBRN): Research PBRN I Research Module II
Payment:
PBRN Pay in Full Registrants:I understand that for the Pay in Full Option; I will be automatically put in the system for the date of the scheduled weekend in my seminar city for the Research PBRN Module I. I will be automatically put in the system for the date of the scheduled weekend in my seminar city for the Research PBRN Module II. I understand there will not be any additional costs because I am enrolled in the PIF and paid for the entire series in the beginning.
Auto Payment Registrants: Research PBRN I and Research PBRN II: I understand that for the Auto Payment Registrants; I will be automatically put in the system and charged for the date of the scheduled weekend in my seminar city for the Research PBRN Module I ad Research PBRN Module II. I will be charged for the Research PBRN Module I and Research PBRN Module II the Monday before the scheduled weekend of the seminar city location I am enrolled in.
Research PBRN II: I will be registered for the Research PBRN Module II to have a scheduled payment taken out the third Monday of the month after Dr. Peter Kevorkian's module. *which always falls on the 15th or after the 15th of the month. When I enroll in the auto-payment I am agreeing to be automatically registered for Research PBRN II.
Initiation of the PBRN: I understand I will not be eligible to start until I am a licensed DC. Once I am a licensed DC I understand I have to register for the NIH Human Research Tutorial: (http://icpa4kids.com/research/hipaa.htm) and demographic application for the Research PBRN Module before I receive paperwork for the study.

Student to DC in first year of practice: If you have enrolled in the Auto Payment Discount Plan as a student and paid $175, you are responsible to upgrade to 1st YR DC and pay the additional $50 ($225) to be enrolled as a 1st YR DC in the Auto Payment Discount Plan once you have graduated and become a licensed doctor.
